Are you an experienced Legal Secretary looking for a fresh new challenge and offer the relevant skills and experience required.

We are looking for a talented Legal Secretary to join us in the Conveyancing and Private client Teams at our offices in Palmers Green.

Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ proven experience working as a Legal Secretary and have a good understanding of the conveyancing process.

Responsibilities:

  • Supporting and assisting fee earners specialising in conveyancing and private client work
  • Diary management
  • Use of case management systems
  • Drafting various legal documents and client’s correspondence
  • Audio and copy typing (60 words per minute)
  • Liaising with a range of stakeholders
  • Data processing and management
  • General administrative duties

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • You will be a team player who can adapt to various teams;
  • A competent communicator with strong IT and typing skills;
  • A fast typing speed and experience with audio-dictation typing is required;
  • You should have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet tight deadlines.

Experienced Residential Conveyancing Paralegal

We are seeking a dedicated Residential Conveyancing Paralegal to join our team in Palmers Green, London.

This role is perfect for someone with a keen eye for detail and a passion for property law.

Ideally you will have at least 2 years’ proven experience working as a Paralegal, preferably within residential conveyancing.

Responsibilities:

  • Deal with the return of client’s initial instruction form and carrying out all necessary ID and Money Laundering checks and making further enquiries with clients where necessary for the team
  • Obtain title documentation from Land Registry
  • Prepare contract documentation and issuing contract packs
  • Carry out property searches
  • Carrying out all aspects of administration following exchange of contracts including sending Memorandums of Exchange, obtaining final redemption figures, sending Certificate of Titles, applying for pre-completion searches,
  • Preparing final completion statements
  • Communicating effectively with clients, solicitors, and other parties involved in the conveyancing process.
  • Maintaining diaries for completion and registration and complying with all deadlines
  • Making SDLT applications online on completion
  • Dealing with registration at Land Registry
  • Sending client completed registration and scheduling of deeds to the mortgage lender
  • Fully utilising the Case Management system when typing correspondence, telephone notes etc.
  • General support work will include (as and when required) taking and receiving calls and messages.

 

Required Skills & Qualifications:

  • Familiarity with the conveyancing process, including post-completion matters.
  • Proficiency in drafting legal documents and conducting legal research.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple files simultaneously.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • A proactive approach to problem-solving and the ability to work independently.
